The 2011
CBR250R is powered by a fuel-injected single-cylinder four-stroke engine with a six-speed transmission. The
CBR250R has a claimed power output of 26hp at 8500rpm and peak torque of 17 ft-lb. at 7000rpm. The fuel tank holds 3.4 gallons.
The suspension system uses a 37mm front fork and a Pro-Link single shock at the rear with five adjustable preload settings.
Braking is provided by a 296mm disc up front and 220mm at the rear, and combined ABS will be available as an option.
According to Honda, the
CBR250R has a curb weight of 359 pounds, (368 pounds with ABS).
Like the 2011 CBR150 introduced to the Asian market last week, the
CBR250R sports CBR-style body panels combined with a headlight similar to the one used on the Honda VFR1200F.
